Incorrect recognition of UK postcode

I was given a uk postcode to lead me to a dinner venue near St Albans, Hertfordshire. According to Bing Maps, the code AL4 0HR is in the centre of St Albans. Google maps, who are correct, say it is in Smallford about 4 miles from St Albans. Bing incorrect info wasted an hour of my time and I lost my table booking. Disaster. Don't rely on Bing. How can Bing be so very wrong? How do I get compensation from Bing? Thank god we have Google to depend on. Has anyone had the same experience?

Review in Telecommunications category from Boise, Idaho

Bing is absolutely the worst. They hijacked my computer. They won't let me change my homepage from being to Google. And I have found no way to get being out of my computer. So I spent $150 at a computer store to get rid of this program. I would recommend being to anyone. They are bullies they push their product down your throat. With no recourse or no way to get rid of their product. That I didn't want I didn't ask for. I think being are nothing but bullies. And this is my opinion

While trying to use my work Surface Pro at home and kids wanting to try new device, I typed "studyladder login" in IE search, top of the page came up with Ad of asiandates.com. I dreaded if I had given device to my children to Search and login in studyladder and had they accidently clicked login under the Ad?? how would I have responded if they asked what it was? How is educational site search can put an adult site Ad on top of the page. Please lift your social obligation "Bing" team.

Bias to Larger Companies/Unfair Practice in Search Engine Results!!

Bing - Bias to Larger Companies/Unfair Practice in Search Engine Results!!
Bing - Bias to Larger Companies/Unfair Practice in Search Engine Results!! - Image 2
I tell you Bing search engines are truly bias and unfair!! They let larger companies do things I never seen before!! Like one they allow larger companies to use Wikipedia to help boost there page ranking and will allow larger companies to stick a Wikipedia at the top of the search engines page ranking and leave it their!! Second, they are now allowing this one company to even enlarge their title fonts so they will appear larger when a particular keyword is being used!! What is that about?? This is not fair to other websites who are trying to legally rank their websites in the search engines!! Why do they allow this to happen? Why does everything has to be unfair these days?? If you type in the keywords (Las Vegas Arena) You will see exactly what I am talking about!! MGM-AEG is ruling the search engine ranking and are cheating to do so. I even think they have someone that they are paying to keep them at the top and keep their wiki page in the second position because it never moves!! Check it out!! This is truly wrong and unfair to everyone else who is trying to rank using those keywords!! Please make it stop!!

Bing is really not a very good search engine, yes. If you do have to use it, make sure you are using Firefox with Adblock, Blur, UBlock, etc.

as they will track you with vigor. The best search engines are those that don't allow the nonsense Bing does, like Ixquick or DuckDuckgo.

Bing Search Engine Review from Canyon Country, California

I was using google as my main search engine and then I tried to install the new adobe but it was a fake and made my search engine to bing and it won't let me change it!!! they are such a fraud and will try anything to get you to use there search engine!

They need to just let people be and not force the way that they are on other people! I cant even change my search engine back to google!

Im going tot take my computer to apple and get them to change it! I hate bing and will never use it because they just want to use them.

Uninstall Bing in settings, control panel, uninstall programs. Then, be careful and actually read what you are trying to install next time, ie., adobe.

Always look at the web address of the site you are downloading anything from. Many sites offer software downloads but they often come with "extra" things you don't want---they get paid for doing this.

Bing and the Gates

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Same thing happened to me, my sister, my son and my fiancé. They let you sign up and build up some points here and there and then cancel the users account and just say that the user "broke their terms of service" I know I didn't do anything wrong. Between the four of us we lost about $75 or more. I had tried making another account and made sure to follow every rule to the T and they waited about two months and closed it out again, saying the same thing. It's disgusting. Bill Gates owns this and he is one of the richest men in the world and now you can see why! And if you really want to know what Bill and Melinda Gates are about you should look into the research their institutions are truly conducting!!!

Bing Bar needs to be updated!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The Bing Bar sucks! It has great potential and would be the best toolbar available except that it keeps causing Internet Explorer to crash which is funny because they are made by the same company but are incompatible with one another! There needs to be a patch because countless people are having the same problem yeo fix the issue!Microsoft has done nothing to repair the issue! Plus the Bing bar puts adware on your computer and since I took it off my computer works just fine! Am I the only one who is having this problem? IE will not work but Firefox and Chrome will.

I haven't used IE for a few years but as I recall the only thing the Bing bar does is load your computer up with junk, cookies, adware, spyware, etc. in addition to tracking everything you do.

I strongly recommend Firefox with addons like Blur, Disconnect me, etc. I never get ads and limited trackers---which I get rid of by using Superantispyware each day or so.

Bing Rewards is a SCAM

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
After using bing rewards for a couple of weeks, my account was deleted for no reason. I did not at any point violate the terms of service. When I complained to customer service I got an email back just stating that they reviewed my case and stood by their decision without any real explanation. I've sent another complaint but I doubt I will get anywhere with it. that being said, I've looked into this issue and found out that many other people had similar things happen to them which leads me to believe that bing rewards is a service meant to bribe people into using their sub par search engine, netting the company probably millions of dollars in ad revenue, and then not paying out. Bing Rewards is simply a scam and I'd recommend nobody ever use this service. It is a waste of your time and it's not even a good search engine anyway.

Amazon scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When I used my bing account to reference the Amazon customer service department I dialed the 1st number that popped up. (1-84*-213-****) The person I spoke to, instead of taking care of the issue I was complaining about, in turn informed me that someone from Germany hacked my computer and that if I allowed him to link up with computer that he would take care of it. I was suspicious and questioned his motive, (letting him know that I was going to report him) he hung up. Upon further review I noticed that this particular link for amazon was in all caps. AMAZON.com Please look into this as it could be detrimental to other bing users. Sincerely: Kenneth Sigmund

Beware of Bing Rewards.

Bing Rewards should be called Bing Rewont!. They lure you into accumulating points then cancel your account for no good reason. They are a dictatorship and do not allow appeals. They shut you down for no apparent reason. Stay away from Bing Rewards and any Microsoft product for that reason. I am going Apple all the way. They cancelled my account like they did to numerous others. They could have a warning, but no, just cancel your hard earned rewards. Totally unfair. I wish I had never heard of bind and Google is of course much better. Bing is a sinking ship and want to take you down with it. Bing Sucks!!!

Bing search never works when you need it

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Nothing ever works consistently with this website. Searches never go through when I really need it. It keeps saying that the website cannot be reached. When I go to Google at the same time, it always works. Never fails. So I am forever leaving Bing and going to use Google forever. It isn't enough to get rewards for searching. it doesn't matter because you can't ever get the darn thing to work. I hope Bing solves this issue... I don't think they ever will because it's been CONSISTENTLY NOT WORKING for the past 4 months. Thanks you for being a royal waste of my time.

Bing is a FRAUD!!

I signed up for Bing Rewards. They promised me that if I searched through them, I would be given points to redeem for gift cards. I initially got 2 $5 Dominoes gift cards. Then I when I was close to getting another 2 $5 Dominoes Gift cards, they stopped giving me the points that I earned through searches (I am a master pinner on Pinterest, so I do a lot of searching!). I also agreed to post their ad on my facebook page twice and they never credited me with points for that (they would say that none of my over 300 friends wanted Bing). They gave me 1-3 points/day for answering their garbage trivia (which I did). Finally, despite their fraud, I was about 7 days away from redeeming my points and they upped the redemption rate. They claimed that I was no longer GOLD (because they refused to count my searches that I did) and I no longer qualified to get the gift cards at the lower rate. By now, I am probably close, if not entitled to 3 $5 Dominoes gift cards!

Bing Reward is a SCAM!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Let me make this clear: Bing Reward is a SCAM!!! I have been using Bing Rewards for over a year. Recently, they keep making me verify my account again because "I broke their terms of services." That was false, but I didn't really care. Just today, they emptied about 3500 credits from my account. This is very upsetting. I suggest you guys redeem your credits once you hit a goal right away. Don't be a fool like me and save up all your credits to get scammed. I contacted support. They better give me a good *** explanation for my account's deletion.

Bing is a BIG SCAM!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Bing rewards closed out my accounts with very little explanation, and this is after I have redeemed at least three rewards. They closed the account after I tried to redeem my fourth. When I emailed the costumer service, they would only tell me that "it is within our right's under the Program's terms of use" to close the account. The support refused to provide any additional details. From my understanding, this is how they usually deal with their costumers. DONT waste your time using Bing search to earn points and make money for them, stay with GOOGLE. Microsoft is starting to look like a big LOSER when they're getting beat left and right by Google and Apple. Their company will continue to be stagnant and swirl downward soon enough.
